Medical Tourism in Costa Rica

For those who have read my blog-Costa Rica has excellent medical care and has become a destination for medical procedures because the cost is a fraction of that in the states.

I see tons of plastic surgery. Butt implants, butt lifts, lip injections, liposuction, breast implants, breast lifts, nose job, eye lifts, face lifts, and many more. They do them all in Costa Rica.

This weekend they are having an international conference to expand and improve medical tourism in Costa Rica

The meeting will bring together 450 representatives from 10 countries in the region, with the participation of insurers, investors and service providers related to the activity, both local and international.

There will be 75 stands, 750 confirmed and business appointments, conferences and visits to hospitals and medical centers, according to the Ministry for Competitiveness in a press release.

We'll see what becomes of it. I think it is a really great industry for the wonderful Ticos to expand upon!

The baby has grown up

I purchased a PRE horse a year and a half ago-and now he's all grown. I'll bring him to the coast in another couple of months to get him under the saddle-how exciting and what beauty!

income producing properties

So Sales have really been picking up in the area. I recently added some new property listings to my portfolio which are commercial, multi-unit income producing. One is seven unit new commercial space building (see photos) for $525,000 the other is a 5 apartment building right on main street for $450,000. The 3 apartments on the upper level are at the gray stage. Email me for more info: PiperRenner@hotmail.com.

Restaurants and The new Access to San Jose

So, recently I have been going to San Jose to pick up furniture for some interior design projects I have been working on. I will post photos later when it is finished!
The new highway has basically changed our way of life in Jaco... and I have discovered so many new cool things about the city. I was fascinated to discover all the little cafĂ©’s. Ilpanino is one of my favorites they have the most amazing fresh squeezed tangerine juice.

I also went to the Fogo de Brazil which is a huge Brazilian dining place where they have a massive buffet and bring you meat constantly. I got into a long discussion with my friend on are buffets good? I think you go in and you see all this over whelming food that looks delicious but you see so much food it ruins your appetite. My preference is the small jazzy little restaurants that just bring you one steaming plate.

Don’t get me wrong about the city life though-you don’t want to be driving at 5 or 8 in the morning and it gets old quick, but it is now so easy to have fun shopping and clubbing trips to San Jose.
